What Does MTT Mean in Poker?
In poker, MTT stands for Multi-Table Tournament. Many players enter the same scheduled event and begin at multiple tables, usually with equal starting stacks. Players are eliminated when they lose all their chips, tables are consolidated as the field shrinks, and prizes are awarded by finishing position. Tournament chips are scoring units inside the event; they cannot normally be cashed out at face value.

Rising Blinds
This is the heartbeat of an MTT. Every few minutes (e.g., 10 or 20 mins), blinds increase, forcing action and penalizing passivity.
In The Money (ITM)
Usually, only the top 10-15% of the field wins a cash prize. Entering this "bubble" phase is where the pressure peaks.
Post-Ante Pressure
In later stages, average stacks might only be 20-30 big blinds, meaning every hand could be a life-or-death decision for your tournament life.
